Reddit's Derpiest Dogs Of the Week: a Heartwarming and Hilarious Thread

Whenever we see someone doing something stupid, there's an immediate question that comes to our minds: was that on camera? Alternatively, a lot of the time if we do something stupid, right afterwards we'll look around and go: "God, I hope that wasn't on camera!" Fail videos and clips of people acting ridiculous are still, even after all these years, one of the most popular things on the internet. Just look at the longevity of a show like Rob Dyrdek's Ridiculousness on MTV– people love watching other people fail, and we're no exception to the rule.

But, this week, instead of laughing at the folly of our fellow man and woman, we decided to let some silly animals be our entertainment. Then, it only took a few minutes of browsing Reddit to find a boatload of hilarious animal content to share. But, what's funnier? A dog who doesn't know how to sit, or a possum running onto a soccer pitch? What about this one: what's stupider, a dog trying to climb a cat tree, or a dog with their nose stuck in a tennis ball? Has anyone else seen that famous video from the morning show in the UK? It's the one where the two hosts are cooking with an Italian chef, and he's showing them how to make a pasta dish. One of the hosts tries to describe the dish as mac and cheese, and the chef becomes irate: "If my grandmother had wheels, she would've been a bike! What does this have to do with macaroni cheese?" Do you guys know the video we're talking about? Yep, that's exactly what this dog makes us think of.

If there are any educators reading this, you know that one of the most important things in any classroom is to give very clear instructions. Kids will go out on a limb and improvise anything you don't explicitly explain, so it's important to provide your expectations to the T from the get go. Apparently though, the same goes for animals, because when this woman told her dog to sit and expected a normal response, this is what she got instead.
